62% of Ecuadorian households dispose of their garbage without partially separating it. Most garbage trucks take everything mixed to landfills and dumps. Of the potentially recyclable material, 75% ends up in landfills and only 25% is recycled. In Ecuador, 50% of recyclable material is recovered manually by grassroots recyclers, more than 70% of recyclers are WOMEN.

ReciVeci is an expert team specialized in inclusive recycling, environmental and social management. Their purposes are to take care of the environment, make the work of grassroots recyclers more visible and increase their efficiency.

This November holiday (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th) for every 50 cups of tea sold in any of our stores in Quito and Guayaquil, we will donate a pair of shoes in associartion with LOOOP for the women of ReciVeci. They recycle garbage to support their families, these shoes will make their work more effective and help them to be more productive, so they can generate more income.
